It’s from a book I read. It’s a bit of a long quote but it’s funny.
In heaven you meet God, who turns out to be a very irritated and over weight black woman who lives in a big sugar palace up on a hill with about a hundred cats, and she doesn’t like to chat. She watches the world on hundreds of flat screen TVs and sighs a lot, smacks her forehead, talks back to the televisions like the people on them could hear her. “Not again!” she shakes her fist at a pale woman flickering across the screen in a wedding dress. “How could you go back for more? You see that? She’s remarrying him. I can’t goddamn believe it.” She lights a cigar and blows a smoke ring. You ask her questions, like which religion was the right one, and she barely looks up from her soap operas when she tells you one religion isn’t much better than the others. “They’re all just like airlines,” she says. “They all get you to the same place unless it’s the Catholics.” She sighs. “Then you’re screwed.” She turns her back on you and blows another smoke ring.
